Ambrose Alor, MSW

Case Manager & Interpreter

Ambrose has worked in refugee and resettlement services since 2014. In his home country of Sudan, he completed bachelor’s degrees in Law from Al Neelain University in Khartoum and Political Science and Government from the University of Juba. Ambrose holds a bar association certification in Sudan, where he was trained as a lawyer and legal advocate. He volunteered with foreign NGOs in the Internally Displaced Population Camps in Sudan, before moving to Egypt as refugee himself. In Egypt, Ambrose worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and with the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights as case manager and interpreter. Since arriving in the United States, Ambrose has received a second bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in International Studies and Middle East studies and a master's degree in Social Work. He speaks Dinka, English and Arabic (Standard Modern, Sudanese Egyptian and most Middle Eastern dialects) fluently.
